The department will be beginning NFPA 1006 Training For Technical Rescue. The course starts in November and finishes in March.

Firefighters walk in the Annual Labor Day Parade sponsored by the United Labor council. Dressed in their new Class A uniforms, the group leads the parade through the streets of Reading.
On Saturday August 16th, the Reading Firefighters and Police Department squared off in the 3rd annual Battle of the Badge Charity Softball Game at First Energy Stadium.
