Box 78 was transmitted at 0138 for a reported structure fire in the 400 blk of Miltimore st. Eng 3 arrived on scene reported 3 story, end of the row (because of previously demolished down vacants), heavy fire on the 1st and 2nd floors of 434 miltimore. Crews made a fast aggressive attack into a fully involved building. Fire extended into the third floor and spread to the 2nd & 3rd floors of 432 and 436 miltimore. Multiple hand lines went into service and quickly got control of a already well burning fire. Crews were on scene until early morning with extensive overhaul. One firefighter suffered minor burns to both calf muscles trying to make the second floor. One family at 430 was evacuated until the fire was put under control. The fire was held to only one alarm. Engines 3,11,1,5(safety co), res-1, lad-1, tower-1,amb.602, cars 3,6,22,23 were also on scene. Times 0138 - 0441. On May 23, a demolition crew was sent to the scene to begin tearing down the properties.
