D Platoon
A civilian reported a fire in the 1200 Blk. of No. 9th Street to firefighters on duty at the 9th and Marion station around 22:30 tonight. Box 52 was transmitted, Engines 9, 11, 1, 13 safety, Snorkel 1, Tower 1, Rescue 1, Medic 602 and Cars 4 and 9 responded. Companies arrived on scene with fire involving the 1st floor rear of 1231 and 1233 No. 9th Street - both occupied 3 story MOR dwellings.
Firefighters made a quick knock with 2-1&3/4 inch lines. Fire placed under control in about 45 minutes. Heavy damage and much overhaul. FM investigating the fire along with 2 other rubbish fires in Engine 9's district over a 2 hour period.
