At 10:46, units responded to an MVA at Lancaster Ave. and Kenhorst Blvd, Engine 14, Rescue 1, Medic 602 and Car 6 were sent on the dispatch. Engine 14 arrived and reported two vehicles involved with entrapment and multiple injuries.
?
Rescue 1 immediately went into service to free two victims in one of the vehicles. EMS checked the condition of all the victims and asked for another unit to respond, eventually all three of the City's units were sent to the scene. Paramedics from the other units soon arrived and treated the two victims that firefighters extricated.

Crews then worked to free the single victim who was being treated by paramedics during the extrication. That patient was freed and transported to the hospital. She was listed in critical condition later this evening. Reports stated that this victim, a diabetic, had possibly experienced symptoms relating to her condition prior to the accident and struck the other victims head on. Apparatus cleared the incident shortly before noon.
