D Platoon

Engine 1 and Tower 1 were dispatched to an Automatic Fire Alarm at the Berkshire Towers, 777 Court Street tonight. Upon investigation discovered heavy smoke on the 7th floor from a small fire in the kitchen of Apt. 706. Box 1618 was transmitted and the fire was quickly knocked down with portable extinguishers. Companies performed searches and vented smoke from the building. Fire placed under control in about 10 minutes and companies operated on the scene for about an hour ventilating.
