Shortly after 2100 on 3/21/07, box 24 was struck for a basement fire at 1011 1/2 Chestnut Street. E-13 & T-1 arrived to find heavy smoke on the 1st floor coming from the basement. An 1 3/4 line was stretched and a pile of trash too close to the water heater was quickly extingushed. All occupants were out of the structure on arrival.

The structure was vented of smoke and companies cleared within the hour.
