Our Web Site
www.readingpafire.com began in September 2002 as an outlet for numerous fire photos to express the aspects of our work on-line, it is the 4th known site to attempt this task. The site and space are paid through merchandising, donations and contributions of pictures and narratives that are sent in by members and friends of the department.
Soon after going on line, we began to receive a large number of fire photos, including many old shots of members, apparatus and fires. These early pictures were the catalyst for what has become a successful venture. We began receiving current shots with stories and also many other pictures from activities around the department. We currently have over 4000 pictures and videos on the site. We also use the site to inform visitors of events, activities and other information on happenings within the department.
With more that four years online, we have built a close relationship with many of our visitors and have received much praise about our site from some very noteworthy individuals. We are dedicated to the membership and to the department as we strive to display the proud work of the men and women of the Reading Department of Fire and Rescue Services (the Reading Fire Department.)
We're RFD Proud!
