Units were dispatched to the 200 blk of West Spring Street for a reported motor vehicle accident around 23:40 tonight. Engine 11, Rescue 1, 602 and Car 2 were assigned to the incident. Engine 11 arrived and reported a utility pole and fire hydrant sheared off and neighbors reporting two males running away from the wreck. The vehicle was reported to be on fire but firefighters determined that to be steam.

The pole was hanging by the wires and the electric company was soon on the scene after being called. The water department was also called to deal with the hydrant. Spills were covered and police were on location. The fire department cleared the scene within 15 minutes.
