At 0637 hrs this morning, Medic 602 was returning to the city from St. Joseph's Hospital when the crew spotted a large loom up coming from the area of the bike trail off of River Road which is well known as a spot for burning stolen vehicles. After alerting dispatch to ship an assignment for the fire the 602 crew walked 1000 feet back the trail and found 2 fully involved vehicles about 50 percent consumed.

Apparatus dispatched were E-11, Brush 3, with Car 8. The Engine stood by at the River Road end of the trail while Brush 3 went down the trail and extinguished the fire with E-11's crew assisting.
