Box 723 was transmitted for the 300 Block of Pear, a vacant 3 story dwelling, summoning Engines 3, 1, 5, 11 safety, Ladder 1, Tower 1, Rescue 1 and Cars 5 and 7. Ladder 1, already on the street, arrived moments after dispatch and reported an odor in the street and a flickering on the 3rd floor of 328 Pear.

After forcing entry to the building, crews found a small fire burning in the floorboards of the 3rd floor. A PW was called for and the fire was placed under control soon after. Crews opened up the floor on the 3rd and ceiling on the 2nd floor. The Fire Marshals office is investigating.
