A double shooting this morning occured ealry this morning turning out Engine 2 (3), Ladder 1, and M601. At 0155 hrs the assignment was dispatched to meet with police on the Roof of Rosi Brothers Welding at Franklin and Carpenter streets. Ladder 1arrived and was placed adjacent to the building where police and the suspect were located. Initially the victim was escorted down the ladder by firefighters. When placed into the MICU medics discovered there was a single GSW to the lower torso with an exit wound. Both medics and a FF from ladder 1 worked to stabilize the patient for transport over to Reading Hospital Trauma Center. After the engine and medic unit left for the hospital, Ladder 1 was advised to be on the lookout for a second victim in the vicinity of ATV bakery around the corner. With nothing initially found ladder 1 returned to quarters.

Approximately 50 mintues later, Engine 2 was turned out again for 123 south 3rd street for the second shooting victim. That victim's GSW was less in severity, and the medics transported solo. Engine 2 was back in quarters 12 minutes later.
