Around 20:00 an AFA was dispatched for 145 N. 6th, the Community Campus of SJMC, E1-T1-Car 9 were assigned. Crews investigating the 3rd floor discovered water flowing and the smell of Class A materials burning. Car 9 asked R1 & E13 to be assigned to the call. R1 reported smoke pushing from the roof area on arrival.

At the same time, E11-L1-and Car 4 were dispatched to the 800 block of N. 2nd Street for a smoke condition.

Car 4 arrived on the scene on 6th Street and asked for the 1st Alarm summoning E3-E5-L3-M601-M603 on Phantom Box 1311. Responding units were told to stand by their apparatus on arrival.

During dispatch E11 arrived on scene at 203 Douglas Street and called for the Box as fire was showing from a 2nd floor rear porch. Box 82 rang out for E9 and E14 and Car 4 diverted. Soon after dispatch E11 reported the occupant had the fire knocked down with an extinguisher and the exterior fire was out. Car 4 reported a planter on the porch was involved possibly ignited by a candle.

Crews at 145 N. 6th Street narrowed the investigation down to a cooling tower on the roof that activated a couple sprinkler heads and flooded the unit. A cause for the emergency was undetermined and crews from both incidents cleared within an hour.
