CO on "routine" Med-Run Print E-mail
Written by FF A. Kutz
Thursday, 27 March 2008

Shortly before midnight Medic 602 & Engine 5 were turned out for a medical issue at 226  South 4th Street. While performing patient assessment, other residents of the property reported feeling ill for weeks. A personal CO meter kept on the ALS bags was brought in and immediately reported levels of 100 ppm in some areas. The discovery prompted a hazardous fumes response, which added the Rescue and a Chief.

Firefighters from the company metered both adjoining properties while venting the original address. The problem was located, and the building vented.
