At 2335 Box 57 was transmitted for a reported structure fire at 523 Perry Street with E8(E11)-E9-E3-SN1(L3)-R1-E1 Safety-Car 2- & M603 responding. E9 arrived first due and reported an odor of Class As burning. An 1 3/4 line was stretched from E9 to the basement and the fire was under control within 10 minutes of dispatch. Car 2 reported a large pile of clothes at the bottom of the basement steps and the building needed mechanical ventilation. Exposures B and D were also vented. tag this:
