A Box Trailer off it's frame caught fire just before 18:30 this evening, Box 166 came in for Fern & Angelica Street at 18:26. Dispatched were Engine 14, 5, 3, 1 Safety, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Medic 601 and Cars 2, 8 and 22. Smoke was reported by Engine 14 leaving the station as that intersection is only 1 block away. Heavy black smoke was observed by all apparatus responding although finding the actual location was a task.

The trailer was being used for storage on a Truck Trailer storage lot on the opposite side of a set a Railroad Tracks off the 800 block of New Holland Road.

Two 1 3/4 inch handlines off Engine 5 were used to attack the fire. Engine 3 connected a supply and laid out to a hydrant about 700 feet away. The fire involved a portion of the rood of a storage building nearby and crews needed to remove a portion of the decking to extinguish the flames. The trailer and it's contents were consumed.

The fire was knocked down and overhauled. Access was made to the building to check for extension. Firefighters cleared the scene just after 19:30hrs. There were no reported injuries and no cause was identified.
