Communications began to receive calls around 1500 hrs reporting smoke from a dwelling in the 300 block of carpenter street. Box 124 was tapped for 342 Carpeter, bringing companies to a structure at the EOR with flames showing from the 3rd floor rear windows. Crews encountered a room & contents bedroom on the 3rd. The fire was quickly controlled, with crews finding an extension cord stretched from a 2nd floor window AC unit into the 3rd also feeding an additional AC unit. The fire marshals office is investigating further.
