Companies responded to the Centre Park Apartments around 20:00 this evening for a reported smoke condition on the 2nd floor. Engine 11 arrived and reported smoke coming off the porch on the 2nd floor.

A ladder was extended to the porch and firefighters used several pressurized water extinguishers to blacken down class A material burning on top of the decking. The fire was put under control within a few minutes with minimal overhaul. An investigation into the cause is ongoing.

Companies on the box were Engines 11, 3, 9 and 1, Ladder 1, Tower 1, Rescue 1, Medic 603 and Cars 4 and 8.
