Firefighters Dress Up for Labor Day Parade Print E-mail
September 02, 2008

labor-day-001.jpgReading Firefighters took their position at the beginning of the Annual Labor Day Parade in downtown Reading Monday. Along with Reading Police color guard and assembly of officers, the Reading Firefighter color guard and a group of firefighters led the other labor organizations and various other groups through downtown Reading and out Centre Avenue to First Energy stadium for the rest of the day's celebration.

The firefighters were donned in their finest, new Class A dress blues the Department and Firefighter's Union provide.

Thanks to everyone that came out to walk and to our families, friends and other Reading citizens along the route for your gratitude and support.

Thanks also to President Eschelman's family for providing refreshments. Your hospitality was greatly appreciated.
