While companies were heading for special training regarding power utility interaction. Box 78 was tapped sending Engine Co.'s 11,1,5,9 Ladder1, Tower 1, Rescue and Medic 602. Ladder 1 made the block and reported smoke showing from second floor windows, with a male occupant trapped on a porch roof. Engine 11 stretched in, while Ladder 1 chauffuer Paul Lis threw a ladder and brought the distressed occupant down. The small fire was contained to a second floor bedroom and was traced to a faulty A/C cord.
