A Platoon

At 1837 hrs to 1914 (the 1st fire) Reading police came upon a fire at the former Industrial Plywood warehouse at So. 5th & Willow Sts, a 6 story partial occupied warehouse (Egan sign). In the area of the saw dust collector a small fire was discovered and thought to be accidental as an electrical ext. cord was in the area of the fire. The fire was quickly extiguished by E-5 with a booster line and the building was ventilated.

At 2156 - 2312 another fire in the same area with more intensity and spread was put out with an 1"3/4 line, a wooden garage door was destroyed in this fire. More overhaul of the area was made and The FM was called to the scene to investigate both fires. No injuries were reported. Only a few floors of this large brick warehouse are used and the building is somewhat neglected.
