Box 28 was transmitted at 20:20 with numerous calls reporting a fire in the 400 Block of Spring Garden Street. E5 reported heavy smoke on approach.

Box 28 was transmitted at 20:20 with numerous calls reporting a fire in the 400 Block of Spring Garden Street. Fire was visible from the Comm Center and E1-E13-E5-T1-L1-R1-M602-C2-C8 and E3 Safety responded.

E5 reported heavy smoke on approach and E1 arrived with Car 8 and reported heavy fire on the 1st floor of a 2 1/2 story end of row, neighbors reported no one was home in the dwelling. The fire was quickly knocked down, kept to the 1st floor and searchs were negative on the upper floors. Time from the 911 line call to water on the fire was alittle over 3 minutes.

The fire was placed under control at 20:46 and the FM was called to investigate. Crews cleared within an hour and the FM reported possible cause as electrical. The family was in New York for the day and was expected home later tonight and the Red Cross was called for an adult and 3 children. City police were also called to the scene for a minor apparatus accident. Thanks to Medic B. Mack for these Photos.
