The Fire Civil Service Board of the City of Reading, Pennsylvania is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter in the Reading Fire Department.
(2008 - starting salary $50,180.48 and 2009 starting salary - $51,936.80)

Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Applications must be completed and returned to Stephen H. Price, Esquire, Solicitor, P.O. Box 8581, Reading, PA 19603-8581 by close of business (4:00 p.m.) on Monday, June 30, 2008.
The application must be accompanied with a check or money order made payable to the City of Reading in the amount of $25.00.
The written examination will be held on a date to be determined by the Civil Service Board. A physical agility test will be conducted for candidates achieving a score of 80% or greater on the written examination. A medical examination will be required after a conditional offer of employment.
