The Annual Reading Firefighter's Golf Tournament to Benefit the IAFF Burn Foundation was held on July 21, 2006. The Members and friends gathered each year to raise donations for victims of burn injuries while
enjoying a round of golf at the Willow Hollow
Golf Course.
This year's winners were "team Marks" consisting of Firefighters D. Marks and R. Frey and Police Officers D. Hess and S. Harter.
Representatives from the Pennsylvania Professional Firefighter's Association were on hand for the tournament and made up one of the teams that played, they were later presented with a check for their Children's Burn Camp. The
Burn Foundation is dedicated to the prevention, education and research
of burn injuries as well as improving the quality of life for the
burn victims.
Thanks to all the golfers, Willow Hollow and those who came out to lend a hand. We would also like to thank all the sponsors and event Chairperson Sassaman for your years of support for the victims of burn injuries. In the 9 years that the Reading Firefighters have sponsored the tournament, you all have helped us raise more than $45,000.00 for the Burn Foundation.
