Twenty-two Reading Firefighters welcomed a group of Master Instructors from the International Association of Fire Fighters to help them respond to Hazardous Materials incidents. The course is part of the 80 hour Hazardous Materials Technician program developed by the IAFF.
The Union remains the leaders in response and training for Haz Mat incidents. The instructors are national experts traveling from as far as San Jose, CA to provide this top notch program.
The 22 firefighters will be added into the City's existing group of technicians to assist in advanced operations and face the ever changing needs of the City.
