Congratulations 2007 Michael H Wise II Memorial Foundation Scholarship Recipients
The first recipients of the Michael H Wise II Scholarship were notified recently of their financial awards. The Foundation Scholars are children of two Reading Firefighters, two children of Reading Police Officers were also awarded scholarships.
 Tara Sayers is the Daughter of Firefighter Scott Sayers and his wife Tina and is a 2006 Graduate of Wilson High School.
Tara is currently attending Millersville University in Millersville, Pennsylvania and is majoring in Business. She is considering a career in law enforcement.

 Kaitlyn B. Smith is the Daughter of Firefighter Brian Smith and Debra Smith and is a Senior at Hamburg Area High School.
Kaitlyn will be attending Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania in the Fall of 2007.
Kaitlyn was recently awarded the Provost's Scholarship for Albright College where she will major in Math. She is considering a career in teaching. |

Michael H Wise II was a Reading Police Officer who was shot and killed in the line of duty on June 4, 2004. The Memorial Foundation was set up to fund scholarships and other charitable events and endeavors.
Reading Firefighters and Police Officers have squared off in several events to raise funds and honor the memory of Officer Wise.
