About a dozen exchange students took a tour of a City Fire Station today. Students from Spain and France are visiting the United States to learn the English language and experience American Culture through NACEL International. The students attend classes several days a week and go on field trips the other days. Today's field trip to the City began with a tour of Police Headquarters then the group visited the 3rd and Court firehouse where Lt. R. Wentzel and the firefighters stationed there led them on a guided tour of the station and the apparatus.
When the students left the firehouse, they headed up to the Pagoda for a planned picnic lunch. Later in the afternoon, they were scheduled to visit the Sovereign Center.
We wish the young people a pleasant visit in the United States and thank their teachers and sponsors for allowing this exchange to take place.
