The Fire Civil Service Board of the City of Reading, Pennsylvania has announced that applications are being accepted for the position of Paramedic in the Reading Fire Department.
Starting salary for the position is $39,000 annually.
Applications are available in the Human Resource Office, Room 239 at Reading City Hall 815 Washington Street Reading PA. Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Applications must be completed and returned to the office of the Solicitor by the close of business on November 1, 2007
The returned application must be accompanied with a check or money order in the amount of $25.00
The date of the written exam is yet to be determined by the Civil Service Board.
Applicants must be Eastern PA Emergency Medical Services Council Medical Command eligible.
A modified three part physical agility test consisting of a stair climber exercise, equipment carry and dummy drag/carry will be conducted for candidates achieving a score of 80% or greater on the written examination.
A medical examination will be required after a conditional officer of employment.
