While performing patient assessment, other residents of the property reported feeling ill for weeks. A personal CO meter kept on the ALS bags was brought in and immediately reported levels of 100 ppm in some areas.

Communications notified Car 3 early Saturday morning that Tower 1 was being requested for operations in Birdsboro Borough. The town is located about 20 minutes south east of Reading. Companies there had been battling a multi alarm apartment building fire.

Ladder 1, already on the street returning from an earlier AFA, reported heavy smoke and glow on the approach. The fire consumed 2 rooms on the 1st floor and was stopped just before a stockpile of O2 cylinders and breathing machine became involved

At the same time, E11-L1-and Car 4 were dispatched to the 800 block of N. 2nd Street for a smoke condition. Car 4 arrived on the scene on 6th Street and asked for the 1st Alarm, summoning E3-E5-L3-M601-M603 on Phantom Box 1311.
