MVA sends two to the hospital PDF E-mail

kenhorst-blvd-mva.jpgA rescue assignment consisting on Engine 14, Rescue 1, Medic 602 and 603 was dispatched for a 2 vehicle mva in the 100 block of Kenhorst Blvd. Engine 14 arrived with 2 in the street, and 1 victim confined in the car. The patient was complaining of chest pain, along with head, neck , and back pain. A half-backboard was utilized to remove the individual over a center console, once the victim was past the obstacle he was placed on a full backboard and transported to RHMC. An additional unit was dispatched for the driver of the SUV who was transported with minor injuries.

Phone Box 427 was transmitted for the 100 blk of n.8th Sreet by Medic 602 while on the way to a med call. The medic unit reported heavy smoke from the front of a 2 1/2 story middle of the row dwelling

Woman rescued from house fire PDF E-mail

A 79 year old male victim of a house fire runs three blocks to a neighborhood fire house to alert rescuers about the fire. A female victim was still in the home when firefighters arrived. She was found unconscious in a second floor bedroom and removed by a ground ladder.

Two flee scene after MVA PDF E-mail

Units were dispatched to the 200 blk of West Spring Street for a reported motor vehicle accident around 23:40 tonight. Engine 11, Rescue 1, 602 and Car 2 were assigned to the incident. Engine 11 arrived and reported a utility pole and fire hydrant sheared off and neighbors reporting two males running away from the wreck. The vehicle was reported to be on fire but firefighters determined that to be steam.

The pole was hanging by the wires and the electric company was soon on the scene after being called. The water department was also called to deal with the hydrant. Spills were covered and police were on location. The fire department cleared the scene within 15 minutes.

 
Fire in an industrial plant injures one person PDF E-mail

A Box Alarm at an industrial plant sent probationary firefighters training on several apparatus to their first working fire. Reports from the first arriving indicated heavy fire conditions and smoke from the blaze could be seen for miles away. One victim was reportedly taken to the hospital.

The crew on Engine 13 was kept busy with a number of medical runs over night. Starting off with a CO condition they also take in a shooting and stabbing before the shift ends.
