Gas line cause of Kitchen Fire PDF Print E-mail

D Platoon companies tapped out for Box 531 just after lunch today. Calls to the communications center reported smoke from a dwelling in the 1400 block of Mulberry Street.

Engine 9 and Ladder 9 arrived on scene moments later confirming a fire in the kitchen of 1445. The fire was controlled moments later after a broken gas line was discovered behind the stove. The property was vented and the gas was controlled at the meter. Companies sent included Engines 9,11,1 Ladder 3, Rescue 1, and Engine 13 as safety. Car's 4 and 9 were in control.
