Box 78 strikes "D" platoon members once again. Around 2100 hrs communications dispatched for 305 Schuykill Avenue. Companies assigned included Engine's 2 (3), 11, 1, 5 Ladder, Tower, Rescue 1 Medic 604 (3). Car 9 arrived moments after the dispatch confirming smoke on the second floor of the dwelling. Numerous police units responded to the scene for some reason, and an officer utilizing the "help" radio frequency also advised units to "step it up". Engine 2 began a stretch after arrival, and companies began opening up the ceilings in a second floor bedroom. The bulk of the fire was in the walls in close proximty to a light fixture. The fire was under control within 15 minutes, Car 2 was in command.
