At 0155 this morning, Engine 14, Rescue 1 and Car 7 were dispatched to Lancaster Ave and Angelica St for a motor vehicle accident. Police on location reported entrapment so Car 7 requested Engine 5 and Ladder 1 dispatched for additional manpower.

Engine 14 arrived and confirmed 1 victim trapped. A female driver of a Dodge Dakota Pickup was trapped with her truck on it's side (drivers side down) between two parked vehicles. R-1 arrived on location and immediately stabilized the vehicle.

The other units arrived along with Medic 601 and a charged line was pulled off of Engine 14 due to a gas leak from one of the vehicles. The roof of the truck was cut and flapped down and the victim, who was disoriented and somewhat combative, was removed on to a backboard and transported to Reading hospital. The extrication was complete at 0222 and crews cleared within an hour. Photos and additional info by FF J. Batz.
