Engine 9 gave smoke showing when they pulled out of the engine house and turned the corner then soon after Car 8 arrived on location at 1314 N. 12th St and gave a report of heavy smoke from the third floor of an end of row.
Firefighters used a single handline to attack the fire and quickly extinguished the flames. Ladder 3 laddered the building and firefighters needed to open up to look for extension. The fire was put under control within 30 minutes.
