Firefighters responded to a box alarm for a reported structure fire in the 1000 blk of Clover Street late tonight . Engines 9, 11, 1, 13 safety, Ladder 3, Rescue 1, Medic unit and Cars 2 and 8 were the apparatus assigned. Dispatch relayed that fire was visible from their location and within moments, Engine 9 arrived on location and reported a fully involved garage.

Fire was well involved in a 2 story amid a row of garages in the rear of homes in the 1000 blk of Moss Street. Crews needed to move quickly to stop the spread of fire which was enveloping the exposures and threatening the homes. Several handlines were pulled and advanced from several positions. Fire was blackened down enough so crews could move in after much effort to open up the secured entrys. The buildings were laddered and crews took to the roof tops with numerous saws. The bulk of the fire was reported knocked down within 20 minutes of dispatch and firefighter then began an extensive overhaul.

FM 10 was on the scene early in the incident and began an investigation. He later ruled the fire suspicious. There were no reported injuries or indication of residents evacuated.
