Retired members of the Fire Department gathered recently for a breakfast at Wegman's Restaurant. Nearly half of the 60 department retirees turned out for the event, including the most recent retired member, Roger Moyer, who left the department in 2005, and one of the most senior, Robert Spatz who retired in 1974.

Alfred Sands 2002, Edwin Schroeder 1987, Edward Sharpe 1997, Richard Slusser 1989, Lee Strause 1987, Charles Sweitzer 1999, Arthur Waters 1990 and Raymond Yeager 1993, Chiefs, Richard Boyer 1996, Earl Bansner 1988 and Fire Marshal David Janiszewski who retired in 2005.
This is the 2nd time the group got together for the breakfast in as many years, a different event was held in 2003. While many of the retirees still work in some capacity, some are simply enjoying their time off. Thanks to Ret. FM David Janiszewski for sending us the pictures and information.
