Over 100 golfers took part in this years event which was comprised mostly of police officers and local dignitaries. Golfers & guests were treated to hot dogs, beer, and soda all day long. A barbequed pig headlined a buffet style dinner at the course after the rounds. All participants received a door prize. There was also 50/50 drawings and a couple special raffles for items, along with a cigar stand. Players had a chance to win a 2007 Corvette if they scored a Hole In One on the Par 3, 10th Hole. There was also a "Double Your Money" hole on the Par 3, 4th Hole. Money bet would be doubled if your ball stayed on the green with 1 shot.
Scott Wertz's family had a team in the tournament and won the highest score prize. Tricia Wertz won a closest to the pin prize. The winning team posted a 16 under par on a beautiful but windy day.
All proceeds from the tournament benefited the Scott Wertz Memorial Scholarship Fund.
