I live at 1347 Moss Street. Two weeks ago there was a large fire in the old Mary Macintosh Laundry building that occupies most of the block across the street from my house. I want to express my gratitude to you and all the members of your department that responded to this fire.
Thanks to the quick response and excellent performance, my home and everything I have was kept safe from harm. Words hardly suffice to say how deeply I appreciate this but please accept my most sincere thank you, knowing it comes from my heart.
It takes a special kind of person to risk their own life for the sake of others. Your department is obviously staffed by these individuals. Please pass my sentiments onto them so they know there is one person in Reading who recognizes the importance of what they choose to do. I can't thank you enough.
