With calls pouring into the communications, Box 515 was transmitted for 700 Crescent Ave around 1230 hours. Engine 9 reported a column of smoke right after leaving the station. First due companies found fire through the roof of a duplex.

"B" platoon companies were stretched thin early Friday morning when 2 fires occurring within minutes of each other caused multiple 911 calls. Shortly after 0200 hrs, Box 232 was tapped for a flames showing from a garage somewhere in the 500 block of south 16 1/2th street.

B platoon companies dealt with 2 vehicle accidents Wednesday beginning right after shift change. Engine & Rescue 1, along with Medics 603 & 601 dealt with a 2 car accident at the intersection of 13th and Walnut streets.

With training group II in the middle of bomb squad training, B platoon companies were dispatched to 5th & Chestnut streets for a car accident with entrapment. Car 3 passing through town, arrived first and confirmed 2 vehicles struck, with a traffic light down.

At 19:59 this evening, Engine 3, Ladder 1 and Car 6 responded to 151 No 3rd Street, a corner mercantile, to investigate a report of a hot wall. Upon arrival, the crew members confirmed a circular burn mark in the back wall of built in metal shelving attached to the interior outside brick wall.

At 21:07, Box 521, 10th and Robeson was rung for a dwelling fire reported to be located at 1155 no.10th St. Companies on the box were E9, E11, E1, L-3, R1, Medic 602, E13 safety and Cars 3 and 6. Ladder 3 arrived and reported a 2 1/2 story MOR dwelling with heavy smoke from the 2nd floor.

At 18:27, Engine 3 and Medic 601 were dispatched to a Pedestrian Accident at Front and Buttonwood Streets. Further up dates indicated it may be an MVA. Other reports from police indicated that a police officer was drug by a fleeing vehicle and requested EMS expedite.

Smoke began to fill the Cit-go gas mart at the corner of Lancaster Ave & Kenhorst Blvd this afternoon. The condition prompted the response of Box 164. First arriving Engine #14 found smoke throughout the store and reported they may have an electrical issue.

Box 51 was tapped around 1500 hrs for the 800 block of Church Street. Communications reported one phone call received for smoke and fire on the second floor of the dwelling. Companies investigated, and found smoke banked down on the second floor and located a small fire in a bedroom.

The fire was reported by a neighbor by who then reportedly assisted an elderly woman from her residence in one of the home in the small row abutting the Neversink Mountains. Several lines were advanced and Car 2 reported heavy smoke and fire on the first floor of the fire building.

Four City of Reading Police Officers and one pedestrian are injured when several police cruisers crash in an intersection. The officers were responding to a domestic where a shooting occurred. The injuries to the victims were not reported to be life threatening.

This morning at 1005hrs, an AFA came in for 520 Carroll St, Quakermaid Meats. Response was E-5 & L-1. During response we were notified of a water flow activation with additional a short time later of an actual fire at the location.
