Vehicle Accident with Fire on Schuylkill Avenue

03:16 hrs / 1200 Block of Schuylkill Avenue / C Platoon
The rescue assignment was dispatched to the location noted for a reported motor vehicle accident with multiple vehicles involved, including one reported to be on fire. Engine 7 and Medic 3 arrived to find an SUV that had evidently been traveling at a high rate of speed and struck an oncoming vehicle as well as multiple parked vehicles. The striking vehicle came to rest on its side and subsequently ignited. There was no one in or around the vehicle upon Fire Department arrival. Engine 7 stretched a 1 3/4" handline and extinguished the fire. Companies covered fluids from the vehicles involved as well. RPD was on scene also.

1355 Hours/ 1300 Block of Orchard Rd/ C Platoon-The rescue assignment was sent to the 1300 block of Orchard Rd for a male impaled on a fence. Medic 3 was in the area and quickly arrived on scene, confirmed the report, and started ALS treatment of the patient.
