Fatal Vehicle Accident in the Northeast

22:05 hrs / North 11th & Robeson Street / C Platoon
The rescue assignment was dispatched to the intersection noted for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engine 9 arrived to find two passenger vehicles that had been involved in a high-mechanism, side-impact collision that came to involve several parked automobiles as well. One operator was found to be unconscious in the vehicle. Extrication was quickly completed and advanced life-saving measures initiated and sustained through transport to the hospital by RFD EMS. Tragically, the victim succumbed to the injuries. The other vehicle came to rest on the sidewalk. That operator had self-extricated and was also treated and transported by RFD EMS. Companies covered extensive fluids from the vehicles and secured the batteries as well. RPD secured the scene.

1355 Hours/ 1300 Block of Orchard Rd/ C Platoon-The rescue assignment was sent to the 1300 block of Orchard Rd for a male impaled on a fence. Medic 3 was in the area and quickly arrived on scene, confirmed the report, and started ALS treatment of the patient.
