09:01 hrs / 27 South 11th Street / Box 0103 / C Platoon
The box was transmitted for a report of a shed on fire to the rear of 27 South 11th Street. Multiple calls were being received as smoke was visible throughout the city. Tower 1 arrived with heavy fire to the rear of 27 S. 11th extending to the properties at 25 and 27 South 11th St. Engine 3 stretched a 1-3/4" hand line via the alley and secured a positive water supply. Car 3 (DC J. Stoudt, Jr) arrived and assumed command. The bulk of the fire was knocked-down quickly as crews entered and searched to properties affected. Several occupants were assisted from the homes unharmed. With fire having extended to the rear porch of 25 S. 11th Street, the area was overhauled thoroughly. The fire was placed under control at 09:21 hrs.
While no civilians were injuries, three firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated on scene. The Office of the Fire Marshal is investigating.
