2130 Hours/ 1703 Perkiomen Ave/ Box 601/ A platoon-
The box was transmitted for multiple callers reporting a house on fire in the 1700 Block of Perkiomen Ave. While enroute, Car 8 reported he had smoke showing and requested the back up chief respond into the city. Once on scene, Car 8 reported fire showing on the 1st floor rear of a 3 story middle of row dwelling. Engine 3 arrived as first due engine and stretched the initial attack line while searches were started to confirm all occupants were out of the structure. Two lines were put in operation and all searches turned out negative. Command reported the fire under control at 2205 hours. While on scene, crews were notified of a civilian in cardiac arrest a few houses down. Our Paramedics and Firemen immediately took action, performed advanced life support efforts, and transported the patient to the hospital. Remaining crews finished overhaul and Red Cross was called to provide aid to the occupants of the home. The OFM is investigating the fire.
